1. Introduction
The Study Abroad Center Manager is the official CIKE representative in each country. They are responsible for delivering accurate information, professional counseling, and full application support to students who wish to study in Korea or Japan. Managers ensure that students and parents receive clear, honest, and complete guidance throughout the entire study-abroad process.
2. Main Responsibilities

1) Student Counseling & Academic Consultation

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information about studying in Korea and Japan
  • Assess each student’s academic history, study habits, attendance records, and language ability
  • Understand the student’s goals, preferred major, financial situation, and long-term plans
  • Recommend suitable countries, universities, colleges, language schools, or vocational schools
  • Explain study routes, academic pathways, graduation requirements, and career opportunities

2) Document Preparation & Application Support

  • Guide students through all required documents for admission
  • Verify accuracy, completeness, and authenticity of submitted documents
  • Assist with preparation of: passport copies, diplomas, transcripts, financial documents, SOP, photos, recommendation letters, and portfolios
  • Support translation and notarization procedures (if required)
  • Coordinate and submit applications to universities, language institutes, and vocational schools
  • Communicate directly with CIKE headquarters regarding application status

3) Pre-Departure Orientation & Preparation

  • Provide detailed pre-departure instructions
  • Explain tuition payments, dormitory registration, and cost-of-living plans
  • Offer guidance on packing, budgeting, and essential preparations
  • Assist students with airport pickup registration and arrival support
  • Conduct orientation sessions for both students and parents

4) Parent Communication & Family Guidance

  • Offer transparent explanations of the study process, costs, and schedules
  • Maintain regular communication with parents
  • Provide status updates regarding application, acceptance, visa, and departure
  • Answer questions regarding safety, housing, part-time work regulations, and academic expectations

5) Local Marketing, Promotion, and Student Recruitment

  • Host seminars, briefings, and information sessions
  • Promote CIKE programs and school partnerships
  • Build collaboration with local schools, organizations, and agencies
  • Support CIKE’s global marketing strategy and uphold brand standards

6) Case Management & Reporting

  • Track each student’s progress at every stage (consultation → application → acceptance → visa)
  • Identify issues or missing documents and resolve them promptly
  • Maintain accurate data and case records
  • Report case status, updates, and results to CIKE headquarters consistently
3. Required Qualifications & Professional Skills
  • Strong understanding of Korean and Japanese education systems
  • Knowledge of visa categories (D-2, D-4, Student Visa Japan) and embassy procedures
  • Excellent communication and counseling skills
  • Ability to evaluate academic potential and financial readiness
  • Experience supporting international students or working in education-related fields
  • Multilingual ability (English + local language; Korean/Japanese preferred but not mandatory)
  • High level of responsibility, integrity, and professionalism
